Troop Elections and Reorganization Coming Feb 9

uncle-samAttention All First Class or Higher Rank Scouts,

A quick reminder that on Feb 9, we will have our troop wide election for your next Senior Patrol Leader; and patrol elections for your Patrol’s next Patrol Leader.  If you want to run for one of the following positions, you MUST either email Mr. Abell stating what position you want to run for, or sign up at this Tuesday’s meeting. Tuesday, Feb 2 is the deadline for signup for the election.

Available positions are: SPL, ASPL*, Troop Guide*, Troop Instructor*, Burnt Toast Patrol Leader, Indians Patrol Leader, Moosen Patrol Leader, Ravens Patrol Leader, New To-Be-Formed Patrol Leader, New First Year Scouts Patrol Leader*, Librarian*, Scribe*, Historian*, Web Historian*, Veteran Gear Coordinator*,  Leave No Trace Coordinator*, Quartermaster’s Aide*, and Chaplain’s Aide*. Den Chief is now a “Fall-only” position, since Cub Scouts do not meet most of the summer. (The Asterisked roles are appointed by the Scoutmaster and new Senior Patrol Leader based on qualifications among those who show interest.)

Please note: you must be First Class or higher to run for a position, or be able to show Mr. Abell that you will be First Class prior to May 1, 2010 (otherwise you won’t get credit toward rank advancement for your position).  You must also commit to your position in order to get credit, and you must commit to attend the Junior Leadership Training on March 6th.
