Troop 16 Celebrates Another Eagle
Posted by Mark Abell on March 31, 2010
It is with distinct pleasure that I announce that Sean L. has earned the rank of Eagle, and joins the brotherhood of Troop 16 Eagles at #85!
Last night, Sean sat before his Eagle Board of Review, and I am told that he did an outstanding job. He received positive comments about his project, his goals and hopes for the future, and his Scouting career. Of course, for those of us that know him, that comes as no surprise.
His Board included: Steve Showell, his District Eagle Advisor; Nate Smith, an Eagle Scout and former Scoutmaster from Troop 16; Stevan Strain, an Eagle Scout and owner of the Warhorse Inn (especially fitting given Sean’s desire to attend culinary school and one day open his own restaurant); Ryan Mead, Eagle Scout and parent of one of our newest scouts; and Guy Fittje, Outstanding Scouter and parent of three of T16’s current scouts. Thanks to these gentlemen for being a part of a very special evening.
Please join me in congratulating Sean on his fine achievement!
Watch for news about two upcoming Eagle Courts of Honor for our two latest Eagles. We expect several more this year, as well, so if you’d be interested in sitting on a Board of Review, please contact Mrs. Santy. No experience needed.
Easter Parking Cancelled
Posted by Mark Abell on March 30, 2010The church has decided that it will staff its own parking for Easter this year. For those that signed up, thank you, but your services are no longer needed.
Congratulations Outstanding Scouters!
Posted by Deb Worby on March 22, 2010Troop 16 has a lot to be proud of…not only for the outstanding scouts that call Troop 16 home, but for all our outstanding scouters. Recently there was a Pioneer Trails District dinner honoring the 2009 Outstanding Scouters. Please join me in congratulating our very own Outstanding Scouters: Mark Ahrens, Gary Carroll, Joe Kjar, Ben Jimerson and Al Pacheco. These gentlemen exemplify what true adult leadership is all about. Congratulations!
