First T16 Scoutmaster passes away

Posted by Prescott on August 1, 2010

dr-rosnikAmid all the tremendous high adventure going on this summer, there is sad news.

Dr. John C. Rosnik DDS, T16’s first Scoutmaster, passed away on July 25, 2010 at the age of 73.  At a time like this it is important to remember that if it hadn’t been for Dr. Rosnik’s committment, the Scouts of Troop 16 wouldn’t have been in the wilds of Canada, summitting a 14′er, or hiking the trails of New Mexico during the week he passed away.  We all owe him an important debt and we should keep his family in our prayers.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Joy Lutheran Church, 7051 E. Parker Hills Ct., Parker, CO.   According to the Denver Post, donations can be made to Joy Lutheran Church or Boy Scouts of America.
