This is a High Adventure Camp. Participants must be 13 years old and First Class or higher rank. No exceptions!
Embark on the greatest winter camping adventure that will ever challenge you as a Boy Scout. Okpik is a High Adventure Winter Camping program that is run at Camp Tahosa by their staff (our own Tyler C. is on staff). Learn how to backcountry camp in cold weather winter conditions. You will spend the first night in a cabin, after receiving training on physical preparation, cold weather dress, first aid and emergency procedures, food and water, and equipment use. When?
Friday, February 18 – Sunday, February 20, 2011
We will meet at the church at 3:00 pm Friday, and return around 2:00pm on Sunday.
Where?
We will be camping both nights at Camp Tahosa (near Ward, CO). We will be in cabins the first night and in snow caves (snow permitting) the second night.

Cost?
$90.00 per person, plus travel ($90.00 Council Registration plus some money for fuel per scout plus a couple of bucks to reimburse the drivers for fuel).
Sign-up Deadline?
Tuesday, October 19, 2010 online. Payments will be due no later than this October 19th date. Reservations will be made for those that have signed up by the October 19 deadline. Limit 26, or as many slots as the camp has available. If you sign up, this obligates you to pay the fee. No exceptions.

Special Requirements?
All scouts and adult scouters planning to attend must have a Class III Med Form signed by their doctor, and on file with the Troop. All adults must be registered with the troop and have completed Youth Protection Training.
