Philmont 2012 High Adventure

When? Leave Parker July 10, 2012 / Return to Parker July 22, 2012

What? A Philmont Backpacking Trek. Troop 16 has reserved a single crew of 12, 9 boys and 3 adults. Expedition #710-107.

Who? The contingent leader and crew leaders will be selected once the signups have occurred.

Cost? The cost is estimated at $740 per person, plus one or two meals each direction and gas reimbursements for the trip to and from.

A $100 per person non-refundable (but transferrable if you find a replacement) reservation deposit is due to the troop no later than February 15, 2011 (Pancake Supper night). $320 per person will be due by September 6, 2011, once our deposit has been accepted by Philmont. The final payment of $320 per person will be due on February 7, 2012.

Sign-Up Information:

This is the official sign-up for Philmont 2012. Please sign up only if you are willing to commit to attending Philmont 2012. The official Sign-up will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis (with priority given to older scouts that have not yet been to Philmont and that sign up within 72 hours of the opening sign-up time).   
  
Scouts that have already been to Philmont will be given lower priority and may only sign up for the waiting list. Adults sign-ups are prioritized consistent with scout priority, with the first 3 that have a son on the sign-up list offered a slot.  Philmont has a limit of 4 adults on any crew. If needed, we will expand to 4 adults to fill the trek.
 
If you are waitlisted and interested in a Philmont Trek outside of the Troop Trek, please contact Mr. Hughes and he will attempt to find a slot with another Troop. Any slots remaining available after February 15, 2011 may be opened to other troops in Parker, if necessary. 
You must be 14 and First Class by September 1, 2012 to be able to attend.
