What to Bring:
This is a backcountry campout and we will NOT be bringing a trailer. Scouts need to pack light - backpack and one duffel maximum as all the gear needs to fit in cars or a pickup. Gear may be exposed to the elements in transit. The sand dunes are, naturally, quite sandy. Bring sandals and or water shoes in order to cross the creek to reach the dunes, as well as a day pack to hold the 10 essentials, especially sunscreen. We will bring a porta-potty, but a trowel to dig cat holes is advised. Weather in April can be unpredictable so scouts should be prepared for a variety of weather.
