Description:

Back by popular demand… Troop 16 will devote our July, 2009 camp weekend to climbing as many as three fourteeners, Mt. Democrat, Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Bross on a single camp outing. Boys and adults that follow a loop trail covering about 6 miles and about 2,000 feet of elevation gain will be able to “bag” all three 14ers in the Lincoln Group, and one “unofficial 14er”, Mt. Cameron.

When?

Friday, July 17 – Sunday, July 19, 2009
We will meet at the church at 4:00 pm Friday, and return around noon on Sunday.

We will be camping both nights in a single dispersed forest service campground (near Horseshoe Campground) just south of Fairplay, CO, which is west of Denver off of Highway 285 along County Road 8. We will be in semi-developed sites (they contain fire rings, but no water or latrines in camp), but will be within a short drive to potable water and vault latrines, if needed.
