Summer 2009 High Adventure - Missouri River High Adventure Base

Posted by Prescott on March 11, 2009
Our major high adventure program for 2009 is a canoe trip tracing portions of the Lewis and Clark expedition, shortly after the birth of our Nation. The trip is a seven day experience, from July 26th to August 1st, 2009. In addition to canoeing, there are plenty of side activities. We will be able to work on the Historical Trails Award and the 50 Miler Award during the adventure.

Feel the power of the mighty Missouri River at your feet as you navigate your canoe through the waters of the South Dakota and Nebraska border.”

“This wild and scenic section of the Mighty Mo offers unique programs at every turn. Camp on islands, learn to throw a tomahawk like a pro, horse back riding, archery, black powder muskets, view and help care for endangers species of fish and foul, learn and practice Leave No Trace principles. Visit historic sights from a vantage point few ever experience.”
