Help support Kyle P’s Ronald McDonald House Eagle Project

Published by under Eagle Projects on April 21, 2018

Scouts and Adults come on out and show off your knot tying skills and help support Ronald McDonald House!!!

I will be hosting a workday, to make fleece blankets, as part of my Eagle Project on 4/14 (8:30am to 4:30pm) at PUMC.  A couple of local sewing groups have been kind enough to volunteer their time and skills to help us make 50 fleece blankets that day.    No sewing experience is needed.  There will be opportunities to learn how to sew for those that want too, but mostly we will be tying knots, which is a basic scout skill.

Lunch (pizza) will be provided and we will have a ton of fun!  Please signup at the following link (Blanket Making sign up)

Also, if you are interested in coming to Ronald McDonald House to help cook and server dinner, let me know.  Cooking Day will be April 27th starting at 4pm.

Thanks,

Kyle P.

April 17th Troop Meeting

Published by under T16 on April 16, 2018

Hello everyone! Here is the meeting plan for April 17th.

First of all, flags will be done by the Howling Wolves patrol.

Then, we will continue with camp prep for the sand dunes campout. In order to prepare, come up with ideas for meals and tent partners. Besides camp prep, there will also be instruction time which will be about shelter and using a compass.

If there is extra time during the meeting, we might possibly play a game.

Lastly, if you are a first year scout, I hope you had a lot of fun during your first campout! If you signed up for the sand dunes campout, start getting excited because this is always a very fun campout!

See you all Tuesday night!

Who will get a pie in their face at the end of this week’s meeting?

Published by under Eagle Projects on March 12, 2018

Just a reminder that this week conclude the fundraising event “Pie the Leadership”.

So, bring your change and help support a great cause, Ronald McDonald House. I’m sure you have
always wanted to see a couple of our leaders wandering around with whipped cream dripping down
their face!

By popular demand, I have decided to offer my smiling face up as a target too if ALL 6 jars meet the minimum $45 by 8pm on 3/13.

See you Tuesday night!

Scout Sunday signup is now closed

Published by under Community Service on February 6, 2018

Scout Sunday, February 11, 2018, gives the Troop a unique opportunity to serve our charter organization, Parker United Methodist Church, by greeting and ushering Church service attendees. There are three Sunday services, 8:00AM, 9:30AM, and 11:00AM. Our volunteer windows start 20 minutes before each service, and go until roughly 15 minutes after a service concludes. Scouts must be in their full class A uniform and will receive service hours credit for their participation.

RSVP is required for this event. There are a limited number of spots available in the volunteer shifts, so signup at as quickly as possible.  www.SignUpGenius.com/go/409044CAFA623A20-scout1
