Order of the Arrow Election April 13

Posted by Colleen Combest on April 10, 2021

Our Order of the Arrow election night is April 13 and we need greater than 50% of our scouts to be in attendance. Mark your calendars and plan to attend. 7pm at Cimarron Middle School.

Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting camping throughout the year, and providing cheerful service to others. Congratulations to our 2021 Candidates:  David Cannon, Sam Combest, Alexander Griffiths, Travis Payne, and Steven Smith.  They have at least First Class rank; 15 nights of camping logged in the last 2 years with at least one long-term camp; and they adhere to the Scout Oath and Law in their activities. Click on the link above to find out more about the candidates.

On election night, scouts can vote ‘yes’, ‘no’, or choose to not submit a ballot at all. A vote left blank on a ballot counts against the scout as a ‘no’ vote.  This is not a popularity contest – you probably will not know each candidate personally. Your ‘yes’ vote helps the scout and the Troop. A ‘no” vote or a space left blank helps no one. Your ‘yes’ vote tells a scout you have confidence in him to take on the challenges ahead. Everything they learn and experience in their activities with OA – Service projects, High Adventure experiences, leadership training and more  – it all comes back and benefits our Troop.
