If you want to participate in the pot luck, please be at the Church no later than 6:00PM and bring a dish. The breakdown of what to bring is as follows:

Last name ending in A-G – Side Dish

Last name ending in H-Q – Main Dish

Also, we still need an adult or two to assist with keeping the drink containers full during the potluck and ceremony and also assisting the scouts with cleanup.  Please email scoutmaster@bsa16.org if you are able to assist.

Scout Sunday signup is now active

Posted by Sonya Lipman on February 10, 2017

Scout Sunday gives us a unique opportunity to serve our charter organization, Parker United Methodist Church, by greeting and ushering Church service attendees. There are three Sunday services, 8:00AM, 9:30AM, and 11:00AM. Our volunteer windows start 30 minutes before each service, and go until roughly 15 minutes after a service concludes. We will also be selling Pancake Supper tickets before and after each service. Scouts must be in their full class A uniform and will receive service hours credit for their participation.

RSVP is required for this event. There are a limited number of spots available in the volunteer shifts, so signup at as quickly as possible. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409044cafa623a20-scout

In addition to the scouts we will need one adult to help coordinate this event with our Charter Organization Representative.  Please see Mrs. Lipman if you would like to assist.

Wilderness First Aid Class/CPR & AED Training

Posted by Ryan on February 1, 2017

Troop/Crew 16 is hosting a Wilderness First Aid & CPR/AED training for any adult or scout over the age 14.  You are cordially invited to register for this training/recertification through the following link.  If you took the training in November 2014 then this would be a great time to get recertified.  If you have never taken this training then this would be a great time to get this training.  BSA policy requires at least 1 member be certified both Wilderness First Aid and CPR for any high adventure outing.  Troop 16 policy has been to try and have multiple adults trained so that we can assist each other in any emergency.

The best part is that since we are hosting this event, the cost is reduced for any active Troop/Crew 16 participant to $100.  Please take advantage of this training so that you are ready for any high adventure opportunities in the future.  This could include National High Adventure bases as well as Mini High Adventures.

The Wilderness First Aid training is valid for 3 years and the CPR/AED training is valid for 2 years.  The training will be held here in Parker at Colorado Early Colleges Parker.  The event is Friday, Feb. 10 from 6 to 10pm and Saturday, Feb. 11 from 8am to 8pm.  CPR recertification is from 7 to 8pm on Saturday.  Wilderness First Aid recertification is from 8am to Noon on Saturday.

If you have any questions please contact Ryan Mead.
