2017 Tour de Cure Colorado

This year, Troop 16 is supporting the American Diabetes Association by providing trash services for their Parker Tour de Cure event. The net profit from this event will be donated thru the American Diabetes Association to support research, awareness and education about diabetes.

Members of Troop 16 can sign up for shifts to pick up trash to add funds to their scout accounts. This is a rain or shine event happening on September 9, 2017 at Salisbury Equestrian Park & Sports Complex in beautiful Parker.  If you are interested, visit the signup page.

Jon Boyd, you are an Eagle Scout!

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce Troop 16’s newest Eagle Scout. Jon Boyd is the troop’s 129th Eagle. For his Eagle project, Jon build cat homes for a cat rescue facility in Ft. Collins. Congratulations Jon, you are an Eagle Scout!

September 15-17th Backpacking Campout

Back by popular demand, the September campout will be a backpacking trip. We will travel to Lost Creek Wilderness area and hike approximately 3 miles along the Wigwam trail for an amazing weekend experience. Scouts will hike through the valley with views of nearby Bison and Windy Peak and work on skills such as fire starting, water filtration/purification, land navigation and how to properly set up/break down camp in the back country. We will be giving lessons on how to properly pack and plan for our next back packing campout.
